Infant car seat is the first type of baby car seat for most of new parents. It can only be installed rear-facing, and has a convenient, removable carrier that connects to a base installed in the car. In this way, car seat provides the best fit for new born and smaller babies, and can be used for children from 4 lbs. to 40, depending on the model. Note that kids will probably get too tall before they get too heavy for these seats. A child is too tall when the crown of his head is less than one inch from the top of the carrier shell, or they exceed the height limits of the seat. Price range: $60 to $300.
Baby strollers carseat combo are special strollers that have the combination of both the car seat and stroller. It is designed mainly for newborn infants and for babies up to one year old. These type of strollers generally have a baby stroller and an infant car seat which can be either rear facing or front facing. When the baby grows bigger than the car seat, it can be used just as a stroller alone.

You also have peace-of-mind knowing that Babies"R"Us only offers car seats that meet Transport Canada’s strict safety standards.
There are numerous things to take into consideration before making your purchase especially if you are new parents. Your first concern should be safety. Try and research online to find out which brands of car seat stroller combo offer things such as impact protection and distribution of crash force. Look to see whether the system you are considering has met USA safety standards or whether it has been top rated by any consumer magazines.
Because car seats are critical to keeping your child safe, Consumer Reports puts each model through a rigorous series of real-world tests, noting how easy each model is to adjust and install properly in a variety of cars with both LATCH mechanisms and seat belts. We also subject child car seats to a crash test, separate from those mandated by government agencies. For more information, read a full description of how we test car seats.
We got this stroller base about a few months ago, I thought it was perfect since we already had the car seat that was compatible... OMG the struggle to open and close it! Seriously wish I still had the receipt to return it only used 4-5 times. We don't even use it anymore because it takes us longer to open and close it than it does in the actual store -_- I give this a 3 star because it's good for the price and it's cute everything about it is good just that the problems I named above are VERY VERY frustrating
The Graco Relay model is one of the best for parents who like to pick up some speed when they are running and jogging, especially for those who run hills or sprints. It features the Graco SnugRide Click Connect 35, which scored a 9.2 on our list. The seat holds babies from 4 - 35 pounds. The car seat weighs 7.5 pounds without the base and its dimensions are of 30.7” L x 18.7” W x 15.6” H. Stroller folded dimensions are 20.5" L x 33.5" H x 25.5" W.
It's best if you keep the seat in the rear facing position as long as possible, which is basically until your child grows too big for it. Check the seat's user guide for the height and weight limits, and when your kid grows out of the rear facing seat you can try looking for another model that fits better. It's fine if your child's legs touch the back of the vehicle's seat.
Make sure that the unit you are considering is lightweight and is easy to move around. It is very often to see that the bulkier units are almost always very difficult to move around and you will not find it very easy to manage. This prompts the potential buyers to look well after the quality of the swiveling wheels and the overall weight of the stroller.
However, a reader pointed out that you won't know the size of your newborn until they've arrived and they may be too small or too short for your seat. Good point! If you'd like to start out with a convertible car seat, make sure you've picked out an infant seat to buy quickly in pinch or have one lined up one to borrow just in case your baby arrives smaller than expected.
This system isn’t cheap, so those with a tight budget may want to look elsewhere. Some parents felt the stroller seat was too small and wouldn’t last through the 50 pound limit. Others felt the stroller was actually TOO lightweight to be sturdy while putting baby in and out. Some felt that the car seat was too difficult to attach and unattach to the stroller. A few felt the wheels and handle were flimsy and felt loose.

The pull-to-fold strap makes folding and picking up a lot simpler, even though it’s not a super light stroller. Parents appreciated the ForeverAir tires that don’t need inflating, which is great if you’re on vacation and have no access to a tire pump. It’s narrower than some double strollers when unfolded (29”), so a bit easier to turn and maneuver through tighter spots.
I purchased this myself after using the full travel system a few times. I needed something smaller to go to and from the car and that didnt take up a lot of space. This attachmemt was perfect for what i needed it for. It was her primary transportation but now we use the full size for daily activities bc she needs more space. Awesome idea and highly recommended.
The Chicco Cortina CX Travel System is a fantastic travel system that also includes the Key Fit 30 infant car seat, which comes with many great features as well - EPS lined shell, single strap LATCH installation, and built in lock offs for the belts. This stroller is quite a bit larger than the Bravo Trio. Stroller unfolded dimensions are 34.3” L x 20.8” W x 44” H. Folded dimensions are 42” L x 21” W x 20” H.
My baby never slept well (especially through the night) until I started using the website >>SleepBaby.org<< - that website has been by far one of the best things I've ever got my hands on to get him to fall asleep quickly. Best time is 45 seconds from awake to asleep! Can’t imagine life without it! I heard about it through a kindergarten teacher who uses it to put to sleep a group of 30 children. Check it out! >>SleepBaby.org<< - sorry, you can't post links here so you'll have to turn it into a normal link :) Best of luck to you and your family!
As a classically trained chef and an enthusiastic DIYer, I've always valued having the best tool for a job—whether the task at hand is dicing onions for mirepoix or hanging drywall. When I'm not writing about home products, I can be found putting them to the test, often with help from my two young children, in the 1860s townhouse I'm restoring in my free time.
Despite claiming their product is compatible with Graco's Snug Ride, the GSR just sits on a metal bar and relies on a strap to hold the whole thing together. Frightening for a parent to rely on. Very poor instructions and even worse customer support. When I called to express my concern that there seemed to be no "snap" in the snap n go, the person I spoke to even agreed that the product worked poorly with the Snug Ride. Friends with other car seats indicate their product works well with the Snap n Go, but why support a manufacturer that continues to claim their product works with the Snug Ride when it so clearly doesn't?
The Britax B-Free travel system snags the spot for the best car seat-stroller combo. An updated version of the B-Agile stroller, a perennial fan favorite, this three-wheel travel system offers enhanced maneuverability and a smooth, sturdy ride with rubber all-terrain wheels. It’s extremely easy to use thanks to the one-hand fold design, and features a full recline seat, seven storage pockets, an expandable SPF canopy and an adjustable handlebar to boot. The stroller comes with the Endeavours car seat but is compatible with any infant car seat on the market.
This trendy-looking system features the Maxi Cosi Mico 30 infant car seat. The similar Maxi Cosi Mico AP scored 9.1 on our list, but has a 22 pound weight limit as opposed to the 30 pound limit in the Mico 30. The stroller holds babies and children up to 50 pounds. Folded stroller dimensions are 17" L x 25.5" W x 34" H while unfolded dimensions are 37" L x 25.8" W x 45" H. The car seat dimensions (with base) are 32.5" L x 17.75" W x 22.75" H.
It is extremely important to read as much as you can about the different stroller carseat combo to establish whether they would fit into your particular lifestyle. For example, it would not be a good idea to buy a heavier system if you live in a busy city and you are regularly going to be lugging the stroller on and off public transport as this can lead to injuries such as back pain as well as making you feel stressed out and flustered. You should take into consideration the style and size of your vehicle before parting with any cash as you do not want to end up with a stroller which leaves room for nothing else except the stroller in the trunk.
I bought this because I was given the Greco Click Connect infant Car seat and base and wanted a stroller to match. Initially I looked at the three wheeled jogging models, but they were pricey and the reviews about the wheels and size turned me off. I am a seasoned bus rider where I live, and don't want to lug around a big stroller. So I searched for seat frames that match my baby's car seat. When it arrived all pieces were in the box (thank God) and I only needed shears or scissors to cut off the plastic ties. I had to get ready for work right after but I can honestly say setting up the stroller took under 30 minutes. The directions have pictures and are mostly clear. The space in the bottom basket is enough for a bag or two, and the cup holders are a good size for fast food drink sized cups and smaller. The wheels are foam, so I don't have to worry about blowing them up. I like the adjustable handle bar, the ease of folding it in and folding it down, and the maneuverability. Besides this stroller I only have one other stroller that was a hand me down from my boyfriends buddy, so this should serve me until my baby is old enough to sit upright.
